IBM Connections – APNS certificates expire on 29.01.2016! Go and renew them
if you or your customer’s environment is using Push notifications on Apple devices (Internet access of IBM Connections server is mandatory), then you might run into a problem because on 29.01.2016 the APNS (Apple push notification service) SSL certificates will expire. Push notifications will stop working if you do not install an iFix provided by IBM for all recent IBM Connections versions:
- For IBM Connections 4.5 CR4 & CR 5 –> link to Fixcentral
- For IBM Connections 5.0 CR2 –> Two iFixes are mandatory: prereq ifix and iFix
- For IBM Connections 5.0 CR3 –> Two iFixes are mandatory: prereq ifix and iFix
- For IBM Connections 5.5 –> Two iFixes are mandatory: prereq ifix and iFix
So hurry up and get the new fixes. The fixes were announced some days earlier but modified versions were published on 20.01.2016. Nine days for planning maintenance windows and all the related processes is not that much.
So please next time announce those iFixes earlier (if possible because it might also be an Apple specific problem).
